Connor Murray

Program Director

Connor’s passion for music started at a young age. With both of his parents in bluegrass and Celtic Irish bands, it wasn’t long before Connor picked up his dad’s guitar and started finding his own voice. He continued to play guitar for 10 years and was eventually pulled in many musical directions, driving him to learn an array of other instruments and styles. Having played for more than half his life, Connor realized his passion for teaching in college. Rediscovering the fretboard with students, and watching their eyes light up, brings meaning to his music. He has students on piano, drums, bass, guitar, mandolin and voice and can play all of these instruments in almost any genre. Connor has devoted his life to spreading that passion and making learning fun by pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Jazz Performance from Towson University.
