Shawn Patrick Flaherty is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia where he received a bachelors degree in political philosophy, policy and law and a masters degree in business. Go Wahoos!
Shawn is a co-founder of Balti Virtual, a full-service XR studio based out of Baltimore, Maryland (www.baltivirtual.com). Balti Virtual has built augmented, virtual and mixed reality apps and experiences for clients ranging from Under Armour and Marvel to Starbucks, NBC Universal, Northrop Grumman, PayPal, Stanley Black & Decker, Gensler, Sea World
He is also a co-founder of Splash City Golf, a company that builds build pop-up, waterfront driving ranges for private and public events using biodegradable golf balls and technology packed,
Shawn serves as the President of the UVA Club of Baltimore, a Navigator for Living Classrooms Foundation and a marketing committee member for Blue Water Baltimore. He is an ardent supporter of The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Historic Ships in Baltimore and Sharp Dressed Man. All of these organizations have a shared goal of improving the city of Baltimore, preserving its future, and protecting its natural resources. He has made a lifelong commitment to help break the cycle of poverty through based on his experiences with Living Classrooms Foundation – which inspires children, youth, and adults to achieve their potential through hands-on education, workforce development, health and wellness, and violence prevention programming.
In his spare time, Shawn enjoys exploring the Chesapeake Bay while sailing his boat “Fawkes” with his wife Bethy and their puppy Daniel Boone. He’s an avid fan of live music and can regularly be found grooving at local venues. If he isn’t at the 8×10 or Cat’s Eye Pub, you can probably find him on the golf course, at an art gallery/museum/studio, jamming-out on some of his instruments (guitar, drums, keys), or ripping around the city of Baltimore on his orange & black beach cruiser (Go O’s) with a big smile on his face and music blasting from the
